Professional History

BRIEF HISTORY
Geoffrey Wallace first began working with stained glass in 1974 and went on to found Australia’s largest stained glass conservation studio, completing many important and award winning heritage conservation projects in Melbourne and regional Victoria. He became nationally and internationally renowned in the field of stained glass conservation and has been invited to present scientific papers on stained glass conservation for ICOMOS in France and the American Glass Guild in the USA. He is an Over-Seas Associate of the British Society of Master Glass Painters. Since 2018 Geoffrey has concentrated exclusively on the creation of new stained glass windows.

1999 The Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne, architect Nonda Katsalidis: RAIA William Wardell Award, The Victoria Architectural Medal, The Melbourne Prize, Sir Zelman Cowen Award, MBAV Award for Excellence. 
2009 St. Paul’s Cathedral, Melbourne, architect Falkinger Andronas: AIA ‘Lachlan Macquarie Award’ for the most outstanding conservation project in Australia. AIA (Victoria) ‘John George Knight Award’ for Heritage Conservation.
